There’s a Fine Line

March 25, 2010

Rear view of pond garden beds before edging. There can be a world of difference in defining an edge. Garden beds are no exception. The simple act of making a straight line at the edge of a bed turns it into a less wild place—a line that defines where nature ends.

We’ve been working hard to bring properties back to life this spring. Of course Mother Nature is doing most of the work, but the Country Wisdom crew is turning amendments into garden beds, cleaning and tidying debris around the yard, creating defined edges, spreading mulch, and pruning back dead wood and last’s year’s perennials.

It’s a joy to walk away from a property after a hard day’s work and take a look back at what was done. Garden beds are looking vibrant and ready to burst. The grass is becoming greener every day. And the tree blossoms are quaking with the desire to bloom out of their shells.

Happy spring!

Now Is The Time

March 24, 2010

teiredgardenEarly spring is a time to reflect on your property’s needs. After the winter storms have settled, you find there’s some cleanup to do. You might even notice that you’d like your muddy entrance to become a bluestone entry. Or maybe it’s finally time for a garden.

There are many do-it-yourself websites that spell out how to do all of these projects—or get the advice of an expert.

We at Country Wisdom have been building a network of reputable service providers that we work with. Give us a call to discuss your needs.
